Automation Intern Position Summary

 
The Automation Intern will be responsible for providing technical support focusing on automation projects and assisting with new opportunities that will have a significant impact on safety, cost, and quality. The intern will assist the Automation department with projects from scope definition through implementation. This position will be located in Brooklyn Park, MN.  The internship will be onsite working 40 hours/week, preferably

 

Automation Intern Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide internal customer technical support.
  • Utilize existing electrical and controls automation skills to enhance automation systems.
  • Provide support on automation projects including design and implementation to assure projects are completed on schedule.
  • Support and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements.
  • Read, understand, and follow work instructions and standard work.
  • Partner with other business segments: sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance.
  • Understand customer needs and the core business markets we serve.

Automation Intern Requirements/Qualifications
 
  • Enrolled in a 2-4 year degree program for mechanical engineering or controls engineering with an emphasis on automation
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks/projects.
  • Excellent verbal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Must be a self-starter, team player, and have a positive attitude.
  • Ability to think creatively, drive results and stay focused on daily tasks.
  • Proficient in Computer Design Tools such as SolidWorks.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher).
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask.

USD $25.00 - USD $25.00 /Hr.

This pay range reflects the base hourly rate or annual salary for positions within this job grade, based on our market-based pay structures. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal equity, business needs, and local market conditions. While the full hiring range is shared for transparency, offers are rarely made at the minimum or maximum of the range.

20+hours:
