This role is centered around ensuring the reliability, quality, and performance of a fast-evolving digital trading platform within the fintech and digital assets ecosystem. The engineer will play a key role in expanding automated testing coverage across web applications and APIs while contributing to continuous quality improvements in a highly agile environment. Working remotely within a globally distributed team, the position combines hands-on automation development with exploratory and regression testing responsibilities. The role offers the opportunity to work on modern testing frameworks, CI/CD integrations, and high-impact financial technology products used by a global audience. It is ideal for a detail-oriented QA professional who enjoys problem-solving, debugging, and building scalable test automation solutions. Strong collaboration, autonomy, and technical curiosity are essential to thrive in this fast-paced environment.

Accountabilities

The QA Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, maintaining, and improving automated testing frameworks while supporting overall product quality across web and API platforms. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing, maintaining, and expanding automated end-to-end test suites using Cypress across the web platform
  • Investigating, reproducing, and debugging test failures to identify root causes and improve platform stability
  • Executing manual regression testing during release cycles to ensure production readiness
  • Contributing to REST API automation testing using frameworks such as Mocha and Chai
  • Collaborating with development and QA teams to progressively improve test coverage and automation strategies
  • Supporting CI/CD pipeline improvements and integration processes using tools such as TeamCity
  • Participating in code reviews, version control workflows, and quality assurance best practices using GitHub
  • Ensuring testing processes align with fast-paced delivery cycles and evolving platform requirements

Requirements

This role requires a technically strong QA automation professional with expertise in JavaScript-based testing frameworks and a proactive, analytical mindset.

  • 2-5 years of experience in QA Automation, SDET, or software testing roles
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript with the ability to write clean and maintainable test code
  • Hands-on experience with Cypress for end-to-end automation testing
  • Familiarity with REST API testing and automation frameworks such as Mocha and Chai
  • Good understanding of GitHub workflows, including branching, pull requests, and code reviews
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills with a focus on understanding root causes
  • Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment and communicate blockers effectively
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as TeamCity is considered a plus
  • Exposure to financial platforms, crypto trading systems, or WebSocket API testing is an advantage
  • Familiarity with trading concepts, mobile automation, or BDD/Cucumber practices is beneficial

Benefits
  • Fully remote and flexible work environment
  • Competitive compensation package
  • Mentorship and continuous learning opportunities
  • Career development and growth within a fast-moving technology environment
  • Collaborative and innovation-focused team culture
  • Knowledge-sharing initiatives and technical learning support
  • Team-building activities and social events (virtual and in-person)
  • Opportunity to contribute directly to products shaping the future of digital finance and decentralized technologies
