Job description

SME Collections Instructor
Deliver in-resident and distance learning instructional programs in accordance with course requirements. Use instructional methods, including guided discussions, lectures, demonstrations, small group exercises, seminars, workshops, and laboratories. Employ instructional technology in instruction and training, including IC Connect. Conduct assessment strategy in accordance with the course design, including instructor observation, testing, and grading and provide formal and informal student feedback. Provide subject matter expertise throughout the curriculum creation process, including content review and feedback to development staff. Teach instructional courses and apply experience with developing and delivering technical training and educational courses in academic, commercial, government, or industrial organizations. Leverage experience with GEOINT sciences, technology, and data science.
Duties may include:
  • Develop, deliver, and revise curriculum on GEOINT collection management, tasking methodologies, and collection strategy
  • Provide instruction on the GIMS, WFT, Discovery, and Query Broker
  • Lead scenario-based exercises simulating real-world intelligence collection challenges
  • Guide students through the integration of GEOINT with other INTs (HUMINT, SIGINT, MASINT, etc. through breaking down Request for Information)
  • Incorporate current tradecraft standards, policies, and emerging technologies
  • Stay current with collection systems, policy updates, and operational best practices

Education and Experience
Required:
  • HS diploma or GED and 6 years of experience with instruction, science, intelligence analysis, and technology or BA or BS degree and 3 years of experience with instruction, science, intelligence analysis, and technology
  • Knowledge of GEOINT tradecraft and learning
  • Experience in a government operating environment with the IC, DoD, NGA, NSG, or ASG
  • Prior experience in GEOINT or multi-INT collection management
  • Familiarity with collection platforms, databases, and tools
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time

Desired
  • GIMS Certification
  • Experience as an instructor and trainer in GEOINT
  • Course Instruction or Teaching Certification

Security Clearance:
  • Active TS/SCI and the willingness to sit for a polygraph, if needed
