Job description

OVERVIEW: We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our Building, Energy and Infrastructure (BEI) Group as an Electrical Engineer in our Orlando, FL office. In this role you will provide technical and design services in support of power distribution, lighting and fire alarm, for design projects as part of a multi-discipline project team to produce electrical design/construction drawings and specifications for institutional, commercial, municipal and industrial facilities.

DURING YOUR WORK-DAY YOU WILL:

  • Provide technical and design services in support of power distribution, lighting and fire alarm, for design projects as part of a multi-discipline project team to produce electrical design/construction drawings and specifications for institutional, commercial, municipal and industrial facilities.

  • Responsibilities include: ability to interact and work directly with clients, conduct preliminary evaluations, prepare various reports, produce design drawings, prepare technical specifications and prepare permit submittals for electrical engineering projects.

  • Responsible for various tasks on several concurrent projects and must be able to follow these tasks through to completion within the allocated period of time and the monetary budget assigned.

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field of study, plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in Electrical Engineering or a related occupation.
  • Position also requires project experience with arc flash analysis and coordination studies utilizing SKM software.
  • Experience with drafting and analysis software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SKM.
  • Must possess FL PE registration or ability to quickly obtain through reciprocity.
  • Requires a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record.
