About Us:
Join our AMETEK IntelliPower team, where we design and deliver high-performance, ruggedized uninterruptible power systems (UPS) and frequency/voltage conversion solutions to safeguard mission-critical operations. Be a part of a team that ensures the reliability and protection of essential systems in the toughest environments, making a direct impact on critical industries worldwide!
Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking student to drive hands-on projects that help implement AI best practices across our organization. This role is ideal for someone passionate about artificial intelligence, operational excellence, and solving real business problems with practical, scalable solutions.
The AI Integration intern will design and implement a standardized, scalable datasheet framework across all IntelliPower products. The intern will lead the effort to audit existing datasheets, identify specification inconsistencies and errors, and migrate all content into a unified, current template.
The project will leverage AI-assisted tools, engineering validation, and marketing alignment to ensure all datasheets are technically accurate, visually consistent, and market-ready. The standardized datasheet system will improve data integrity, reduce internal confusion, and enhance customer trust while enabling faster updates going forward.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead an end-to-end- project focused on implementing the best AI practice to deliver a standardized datasheet template aligned across all product lines.
  • Research industry frameworks, emerging AI trends, and relevant best practices to recommend ongoing AI- assisted content maintenance and version control.
  • Document solutions, workflows, and technical designs to support knowledge transfer and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across functions to gather requirements, understand current processes, and define clear success metrics.
  • Develop documentation outlining datasheet standards, governance, and updated processes.
  • Build simple prototypes, process maps, or proof-of-concept demonstrations as appropriate.
  • Implement AI Agents or other productivity tools that drive simplification, efficiency, and speed.
  • Present final project outcomes, impact, and recommendations to business and technical leaders.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Coursework, projects, or hands-on internship experience with artificial intelligence, machine learning, automation, or data analytics.
  • Prior experience using AI productivity tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools in a professional or academic setting.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Strong interest in artificial intelligence, automation, or data-driven process improvement.
  • Ability to translate business needs into working AI solutions.
  • Experience with research, data analysis, or process mapping methodologies.
  • Basic understanding of AI concepts (e.g., machine learning, large language models, responsible AI).
  • Knowledge in power electronics is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication, including the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Comfortable working independently while leveraging mentors and subject-matter experts for guidance.

What's in It for You:
  • Meaningful, real-world experience that prepares you for future roles in AI, digital transformation, and process improvement.
  • Opportunity to explore potential career paths before graduating.
  • Supportive environment that accelerates growth from student to early-career professional.
  • Competitive pay and exposure to a global technology organization.
  • Exciting, fast-paced environment where you could make a true impact.
