The Experience

This internship offers a unique opportunity to support enterprise-wide AI adoption initiatives while gaining direct exposure to AI governance, business transformation, and global operations. Interns will work closely with Global IT, building foundational experience in IT operations and global business support.

Your Role

We are hiring a motivated AI Intern to join our team! The AI Intern will support the IT organization in governing, securing, and enabling the effective use of AI tools across the enterprise. This role combines AI governance, security awareness, and hands-on enablement. The Intern will be working directly with business teams to configure approved AI tools and help employees integrate AI into their daily workflows safely and efficiently.

This is a high-impact role in a regulated environment where AI adoption must balance innovation, compliance, and data protection.

User Support (Helpdesk)
  • Serve as first-line support for employee AI tool usage.
  • Respond to tickets, questions, and issues related to:
    • Copilot, Claude, or other approved AI tools
    • Access, permissions, and configuration issues
  • Troubleshoot user problems.
  • Provide real-time assistance to help users complete tasks with AI.
AI Governance & Compliance Support
  • Assist in maintaining and enforcing enterprise AI policies, including acceptable use, data protection, and security requirements.
  • Support documentation and tracking of AI use cases, including risk classification, approvals, and accountability logs.
  • Help ensure AI tools are used in accordance with regulatory, cybersecurity, and privacy standards.
  • Participate in vendor/tool evaluations, ensuring only approved AI tools are used within the organization.
AI Tool Enablement Across Departments
  • Assist in AI Agent creation.
  • Partner with functional teams (HR, Finance, Operations, Quality, etc.) to:
    • Configure AI tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude, AI-enabled platforms) for role-specific workflows
    • Translate business problems into practical AI-assisted solutions
    • Build reusable prompts, templates, and workflows for common tasks
  • Support role-based AI adoption initiatives aligned to business needs (e.g., document drafting, reporting, automation).
User Training & Adoption
  • Assist in developing and delivering AI training sessions (e.g., prompting basics, safe use guidelines, role based workflows).
  • Create simple, user-friendly documentation:
    • “How-to” guides
    • Prompt libraries
    • Quick reference materials
    • Provide frontline support for employees adopting AI tools
AI Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
  • Support monitoring of AI usage and adherence to policies.
  • Gather feedback from business teams on AI tool effectiveness and usability.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve workflows, reduce manual effort, and increase productivity.
  • Assist in tracking emerging AI risks (e.g., hallucinations, bias, misuse) and escalation where needed.
Data Security & Risk Awareness
  • Reinforce best practices around data privacy and confidentiality, restricted/prohibited AI inputs, human-in-the-loop validation requirements.
  • Ensure users understand limitations of AI outputs and the need for verification.


Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field.
  • Strong interest and aptitude in AI tools and technologies.
  • Basic understanding of large language models (LLMs) and prompt engineering concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (comfortable working with non-technical teams).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using AI tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude, GitHub Copilot) in academic or personal projects.
  • Familiarity with data privacy, cybersecurity, or compliance concepts.
  • Exposure to scripting or automation (Python, Power Automate, etc.)
  • Must be able to continue an on-going internship duration during academic semesters, outside of semester breaks. (i.e. part-time or a minimum of 8-15hrs/week throughout the academic semesters). We understand academic commitments and work together to determine a schedule that works best with your course schedule.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • No C2C at this time.
