Primary Role
The Construction Manager ensures overall project success by coordinating in-house and field personnel to achieve targets for schedule, costs, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction, while upholding design integrity. This role works closely with the Design and Development teams and fosters strong relationships with subcontractors and clients.
Required Skills
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and MS Project for planning and coordination.
  • Competence in Estimating and Take-off processes.
  • Knowledge of Provincial Building Codes, building envelope principles, Health and Safety Regulations, and Contract Law.
  • Proficiency in project management tools like Timberline for contract control and change management.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective client management with the ability to explain and justify contract changes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both internally and externally.
  • Results-oriented, driven, and proactive with a sense of urgency.
  • Comfortable with giving and receiving feedback.

Qualifications
Experience
  • 5–10 years in roles with a design-builder, general contractor, subcontractor, or owner’s representative.
  • Experience in multi-disciplinary environments and on-site roles such as Project Coordinator or Site Superintendent.
Education
  • Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or Architecture.
  • Progress toward or possession of designations in Engineering, Project Management, or Architecture.
  • Gold Seal Intern or Gold Seal Certified.
  • PQS designation, trade certification, or business degree considered an asset.
Special Conditions
  • Frequent local travel to job sites; occasional travel to out-of-town sites as needed.
  • Salary Range: Up to $125,000
