Job description

Description
Project Manager (PM) in Power Systems Engineering (PSE). Develop quotes for new projects and products, manage the activities of the various engineers and support people assigned to their projects, generate and maintain project metrics, and manage projects based on those metrics to deliver results to established schedules.
Reports to: Director of Engineering - PSG
Essential Duties
  • Develop project quotes in response to RFQs from internal customers.
  • Work within the project management system at Basler Electric Company and supervise, schedule, direct workloads, and perform administrative duties for projects as assigned.
  • Direct and/or oversee the creation, modification, and maintenance of product hardware and manufacturing documentation to support projects.
  • Develop and maintain schedules for product hardware and documentation development or revision.
  • Provide weekly project tracking metrics for management review (tracking spreadsheet, weekly Project Report Card).
  • Assist in the training of other Project Managers.
  • Assist in reviewing and maintaining the project management system procedures, work instructions, and forms.
  • Travel as required for training, support of project tasks, product issues, or other design- or job-related needs.
  • Other duties as required or assigned.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent.
  • 4 years' related experience in Engineering management and/or equivalent combination of technical and management experience.
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Previous experience with managing technical projects and electromechanical systems.
  • Previous experience in product development and advanced R&D of electromechanical systems.
  • Previous experience with electronics, packaging, thermal management, and systems design and integration.

Compensation
We anticipate filling the Project Manager position with an expected compensation range of $96,000 - $113,000. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. Our pay ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. Starting pay and job title are based on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
