Position Summary

ETAP is seeking a Power System Engineer to expand our capabilities in the Data Exchange Department. The ideal candidate would be an experienced electric utility engineer or electrical consulting engineer looking to apply his or her power system engineering skills to the rapidly growing ETAP distribution market as well as data transferring solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize standard engineering and mathematical concepts and principles in the design, coding, and testing of software components
  • Proficiency in modeling for transmission and distribution power systems
  • Perform power flow, short circuit analysis and protection & coordination to evaluate system impacts
  • Provide client support and technical issue resolution via Eโ€‘Mail and phone to identify, correct, or advise on technical issues
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer
Qualifications
  • 1.5+ yearsโ€™ experience in the design and/or operations of electric utility transmission and distribution systems
  • Familiarity and working knowledge of power system analysis and simulation
  • Experience in power system analysis software such as Revit, AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM, EMTPโ€‘RV, PSCAD, CYME, PSLF
  • Knowledge of GIS, MEP, CAD
  • Experience using AI tools and programming to automate integration workflows
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to write clear and detailed technical reports
  • Computer skills related to creation of reports and presentations in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
  • Ability to adjust to multiple tasks/projects
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent residency/work authorization
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in electrical engineering with power systems emphasis
  • Masterโ€™s degree in Power System Engineering (preferred)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in California, or ability to obtain same

Salary Range: 65,000.00 โ€“ 108,000.00 USD Annual
