Job description

Plastic Surgeon-Micro/Breast Reconstruction Surgeon

The Department of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at Cleveland Clinic has a faculty position opening for Micro/Breast Reconstruction Surgeon. Successful candidates will be responsible for the delivery of high quality care within Cleveland Clinic Health System.

Candidates must have completed an accredited BC/BE Plastic Surgery training program as well as have advanced Fellowship training in microsurgery. Involvement with the full spectrum of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery where significant opportunity exists in the area of implant/expander based breast reconstruction; free flap breast reconstruction; complex wound management secondary to subspecialty consultations; and aesthetic breast, body and facial surgery.

The successful candidate will have experience with program building and working in a multidisciplinary manner with colleagues in numerous specialties.A focus on teaching and an interest in participating in active research programs are also desired as we sponsor an ACGME accredited Plastic Surgery training program.

The Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery currently includes 20+ Plastic Surgeons, leading a residency program of 24 current residents. In addition, the department supports four clinical fellows in Breast, Microsurgery, Craniomaxillofacial/Pediatrics and Aesthetics. The Plastic Surgery Research program supports two research fellows and a number of international supported researchers in addition to a clinical research coordinator and director of an on-going microvascular laboratory course. Innovation across the breadth of surgery is the reputation of the Cleveland Clinic and an essential culture of the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

From advancements in Face/Abdominal Wall/Hand/Orbital Transplantation to innovations in wound healing, neuromodulation, immune tolerance and organ preservation, the department's vision is to continue to assist in leading and advancing the practice of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

This range is generally aligned with or below the 50th percentile of nationally recognized compensation benchmarks by specialty. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined in accordance with fair market value, considering factors such as professional experience, clinical expertise, board certification, work history, and FTE. This stated range excludes the value of Cleveland Clinic's comprehensive benefits package, which includes healthcare, dental, vision, retirement, and other offerings.

Minimum salary: $441,500

Maximum salary: $670,500
