Intern Operational Technology (OT) roles are entry-level positions where students or recent graduates gain practical experience working with systems and infrastructure that monitor and control industrial operations. These interns often assist in maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving technologies like SCADA systems, PLCs, and industrial networks. The role typically involves supporting senior engineers, learning about cybersecurity in OT environments, and participating in projects that ensure the efficiency and safety of operational processes. It's a valuable opportunity to develop technical skills and understand how information technology integrates with physical systems in industries such as manufacturing, energy, and transportation.

You'll often collaborate with engineers and IT professionals to ensure equipment and network reliability within manufacturing or utility environments. Interns may be involved in collecting data, documenting processes, and participating in team meetings to learn about OT best practices. This hands-on experience provides valuable exposure to the intersection of technology and operations, setting a strong foundation for future career growth in the field.
