Job Title: Community Outreach and Stadium Events Intern

Job Description
The Frederick Keys Community Outreach and Stadium Events Intern is a part-time internship designed only for current university students who will be receiving college credit for participation in this internship. The Community Outreach and Stadium Events Intern will be gaining real-world experience with responsibilities within the organization. They will receive the opportunity to work with experienced events and marketing teams, build a strong professional network, and engage with our fans within the community. The Community Outreach and Stadium Events Intern will collaborate with other members of the Keys Sales and Marketing team to plan, set-up, and attend off-site events. They will also work with other members of the Events team to plan, set-up, and execute outside events at Nymeo Field.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • College sophomores, juniors, seniors, or graduate students working for academic credit in Sport Management, Marketing, Communications, or similar field.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, and strong organization skills
  • Thorough knowledge of the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to uphold company and Attain customer service standards
  • Individual must be energetic, enthusiastic, and a dedicated team player
  • Ability to work event nights, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Previous experience in event planning or community outreach is a plus, but not required
  • Eager to listen, learn, and receive constructive feedback

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Promote the Keys at various events and promotions in the community through the distribution of marketing materials.
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of community events
  • Assist with social media coverage of outside public appearances and events
  • Assist with the development of outreach strategy
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to event planning
  • Gain knowledge and experience in management and responsibilities of event management and execution
  • Represent the organization at outside community events and appearances
  • Represent the organization, as needed, as our mascot Keyote
  • Work Frederick Keys home games and other events held at Nymeo Field as directed by the Senior Marketing and Gameday Manager
  • All other duties assigned by Senior Marketing and Gameday Manager, Manager of Events, and General Manager of the Keys
