Data Analyst Intern

Cognicion LLC, a boutique eDiscovery services and information management provider is actively recruiting a motivated Data Analyst Intern to assist internal teams through day-to-day support of the tools, applications, processes, and requirements for internal data management infrastructure and/or eDiscovery technology.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Collaborates and works with internal teams to understand current use of company eDiscovery data collection and review platforms.
  • Performs tasks under supervision of other data team members related to exporting data from databases, including identifying/ensuring validity of data for export, confirming redactions and other markups, and ensuring data export complies with agreed upon production specifications.
  • Assists in verifying the accuracy of data loading, manipulation, and conversion by performing quality testing. Identifies deficiencies, communicates to responsible parties, and makes recommendations to remediate issues.
  • Provides research, analysis, and recommendations for future state technology infrastructure and eDiscovery platform questions.
  • Assists in ensuring viability of data workflows, including data intake, data processing and migration, productions, etc.
  • Demonstrates organizational skills and effective use of time e.g., ability to plan daily work, set priorities and manage time to ensure work is timely and efficiently completed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma.
  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in computer science, information systems, or related field.
  • Expected graduation between June 2026 and June 2028.
  • Strong academic achievement; a GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
  • Coursework, internship experience, or exposure to data management, data analysis, database concepts, quality assurance, or eDiscovery workflows preferred.
  • Prior experience working in an eDiscovery field preferred.
