SUMMARY

This is an exciting opportunity to gain real work experience with our HR Team on key projects this summer. The HR Team provides support and partnership to all employes in our clinics and corporate functions in multiple areas of work including leadership and talent management, performance management, attracting and retaining talent, learning and development, and managing compensation and benefits programs.

You will collaborate with members of the HR team, clinic operations and other functional partners throughout your summer with U.S. Renal Care.

This role is ideal for students with strong technology skills interested in Human Resources management, leadership development, talent management, or HR operations and analytics. If you have a passion and interest in supporting and developing people- this internship is for you!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties and tasks may be assigned.

The HR team is seeking enthusiastic interns to work with us this summer. The interns will work collaboratively, and each intern will be focused on one of the following projects:

Clinical/Career Ladders Development

  • Assist the HR team with structuring, tracking and deploying a clinical ladders model which will offer career development opportunities to our clinical teams
  • Help coordinate advancement and application programs
  • Research and create job descriptions and job postings to support the clinical ladders framework
  • Utilize market data, competitive research and AI tools to determine market pricing for jobs

Data Tracking & Reporting

  • Assist with cleaning and validating employee data (job titles, departments, etc).
  • Assist in building and running reports for HR, leadership, or functional partners
  • Work with HR analysts to test fixes and updates
  • Document process and workflows for onboarding, promotions, etc.
  • Help with audits and support compliance
  • Utilize Excel, PowerPoint, AI and other tools to assist with data analysis and insights
  • Turn raw data, notes, or spreadsheets into clear insights and visual narratives

AI & Productivity Enablement

  • Use generative A.I. tools (e.g., Copilot,) to streamline recruiting and HR workflows through effective prompt design
  • Draft, refine, and standardize prompts to support recurring HR tasks
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual or repetitive work using A.I. automation and summarization
  • Generate and refine job descriptions, outreach messaging, interview guides, and candidate communications using A.I.
  • Create SOPs, playbooks, and FAQs using A.I. to convert informal processes into documented workflows
  • Maintain prompt libraries, templates, and "bestpractice" examples for repeated HR use cases
  • Assist with onboarding and training materials using A.I. drafting and summarization tools
