ABOUT THE COMMUNICATIONS INTERNSHIP

Orchestra is seeking highly motivated individuals to join our Summer 2026 Communications Internship Program. This hands-on opportunity provides meaningful experience across strategic communications, public affairs, media engagement, and brand storytelling.

Interns are embedded on a specific team and contribute to active client work across industries including technology, real estate, consumer, sports, arts and culture, philanthropy, and public affairs. You will support both long-term initiatives and day-to-day projects, developing skills in writing, research, media relations, and client service within a fast-paced agency environment.

Interns participate in internal meetings, client calls, and events, gaining exposure to how integrated communications strategies are developed and executed.

  • Duration: May 26, 2026 - August 21, 2026
  • Location: Hybrid internship based in our New York, N.Y. or Washington, D.C. offices (minimum 3 days/week in-office)
  • Compensation:  Interns receive a standard rate of $18/hour.

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

As an intern, you will...

  • Support client accounts through research, media list development, and meeting preparation
  • Draft and edit press materials, pitches, memos, social content, and reports
  • Monitor media coverage and industry trends
  • Track deliverables and organize internal and client-facing materials
  • Participate in team meetings and client calls
  • Collaborate across teams on cross-functional projects

Qualifications:

  • Rising junior or senior, postgraduate student, or early-career professional with relevant interest or experience
  • Strong writing, research and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated interest in communications, media, policy, business, or culture
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple deadlines
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
  • Digital fluency and eagerness to learn new platforms
