Position Title: Music Business Intern

FLSA: Nonexempt/ Part-Time

Rate: $18.42/hourly

Location: Culver City, CA (on-site)

Position Overview: CJ ENM America is seeking an enthusiastic and driven intern to join its Music Business team in Culver City. The intern will work closely with the team to support a range of tasks including event preparation, hospitality management, safety measures, logistics, and marketing initiatives, providing invaluable exposure to the fast-paced music business environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in executing essential operational tasks for upcoming events, including supporting planning, hospitality, catering, staffing, security, and safety protocols.
  • Support event logistics, including maintaining detailed records (via Excel, Google Sheets), processing invoices, and tracking event-related expenses.
  • Assist in the execution of onsite production and operational tasks during event setup and execution.
  • Support business development efforts by researching and brainstorming new event concepts, opportunities, and strategies to expand CJ ENM America’s brand and presence within the industry.
  • Take on additional projects and tasks assigned by the Music Business team.


Experience & Skills:

  • Must be currently enrolled in a college/university with at least one active class during the semester/quarter prior to the internship, OR a recent graduate (within the last six months).
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization.
  • Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) is a must.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills (Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Google, Dropbox, Adobe, etc.).
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines while paying attention to important details.
  • Strong multitasking abilities, with the capability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to thrive in high-stress, high-volume situations while maintaining organization and focus.
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, and strong motivation.
  • Passionate about K-pop and Korean entertainment, with strong interest in the industry is highly preferred.
  • Prior Entertainment (concerts, conventions, music, film, or agencies) experience is highly preferred.
  • Prior Production & Operation (internships, clubs, or volunteer work) experience is highly preferred.
  • Fluency in Korean is not a requirement, but a plus.
