Role Overview
We are seeking a senior, hands-on Lead E‑Commerce Engineer to drive the design, development, and optimization of customer-facing digital commerce platforms. This role blends technical leadership with active hands-on delivery, owning architecture, platform integrations, and engineering execution across large-scale e‑commerce experiences.
You will lead a small but high-impact engineering function, partner closely with Product, UX, Content, and Marketing teams, and ensure the platform is scalable, secure, performant, and conversion-focused.

Required Experience & Qualifications
Core Requirements

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience with 3+ years in a technical leadership role
  • Strong hands-on experience with React-based web applications and APIs
  • Deep experience with Adobe Experience
  •   Manager (AEM) (3+ years strongly preferred)
  • Solid knowledge of Java / Spring Boot and modern backend integration patterns
  • Experience with microservices, SPAs, event-driven and serverless architectures
  • Strong understanding of PCI, WCAG, PII, encryption, and security best practices

E‑Commerce & Web Stack

  • Salesforce Commerce Cloud, OMS, CRM integrations
  • API Gateways, GraphQL, OAuth
  • CDN, DNS, SSL, Akamai / edge computing
  • AI-driven search (e.g., Coveo or similar)

Cloud & DevOps

  • AWS (API Gateway, containerized services)
  • Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform / CloudFormation
