Job description

Overview
Are you a college student looking to gain experience in the marketing industry? Are you passionate about developing meaningful content and enjoy working on a collaborative team? If so, apply to be our next Social Media and Brand Marketing Intern!
In this role, you will play an active role in UW Credit Union's campus marketing efforts and get hands-on experience at one of Wisconsin's largest financial institutions. This is a great opportunity to hone your skills, build a portfolio and gain valuable connections for the next step in your career.
This is a year-long internship with an anticipated start date of October 2026. This position will be approximately 15-20 hours per week during the school semester for one year. 40 hours per week during the summer.
Responsibilities
What You'll Do
  • Create social media content for UWCU social channels from ideation to editing and publishing. You'll also appear in content on our behalf!
  • Use your experience as a member of our key demographic to develop and execute marketing approaches for on-campus acquisition tactics (experiential, in-branch, digital/social)
  • Represent the organization at tabling events on campus and at community events, engaging directly with members and prospective members
    Assist with our influencer partnerships
  • Conduct competitive research to identify opportunities for the brand
  • Solicit and produce content for employee-facing channels
  • Assist as needed on a wide variety of marketing and communications projects

Qualifications
What You'll Need to Succeed
  • At least three semesters of completed college coursework in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related field
  • Experience working collaboratively with a diverse team (professional work, club, class project, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and autonomy in establishing priorities, completing assignments and project and meeting deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
