Job description

Founded in 1987, Applied Innovation is the Midwest's premier independently owned and managed provider of Document Imaging Technology, Managed IT, Software Solutions, Shredding/Document Destruction and Enterprise Content Management Solutions. We have offices throughout Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Florida.
We are looking for an intern in our Human Resources Department to help us deliver best-in-class services to our employees. As a member of this department, you would help in the areas of hiring and onboarding new employees, using our HR system, and supporting employee events to celebrate accomplishments.
We are looking for someone currently pursuing a degree in business or human resources who can work part time, around 16 to 20 hours per week. This is a paid internship.
This internship is in person and located at our corporate office in Grand Rapids, MI. Our headquarters is located at 5555 Glenwood Hills Pkwy SE in Grand Rapids, MI.
Intern Responsibilities/Objectives
The HR Intern will serve as a key position providing support to the Human Resources Department and employee base.
Provide administrative support for new hire orientation and onboarding to welcome new employees to the organization.
Support employee engagement by assisting with the planning and execution of special events and activities for employee recognition, wellness, and more.
Support the recruiting process by posting job openings, reviewing resumes, and conducting initial candidate screening interviews in conjunction with the hiring team.
Assist with HR-related reports and projects.
Ability to work at least 16 hours per week but may be able to add hours during busy times.
Intern Requirements

Multi-tasker, self-starter, able to handle concurrent projects of varying degrees of difficulty.
Highly motivated, positive attitude and goal orientated.
