Pinion is seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong Billing Analyst to support our Firmwide Billing team. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in ensuring accurate billing execution, effective revenue recognition, and strong collaboration with Client Managers. Your work directly impacts client satisfaction, financial performance, and the integrity of our service agreements—making you an essential partner in delivering value across the firm.

As a Billing Analyst, your collaboration with others will ensure clients are renewing Service Agreements in a timely manner and are billed appropriately. You will spend your days playing to your strengths in both follow up and follow through. Your ability to independently manage details within deadlines will lead to successful relationships inside and outside the firm.

What you’ll be doing:

Service Agreement Billing

  • Set up and manage billing configurations for signed service agreements.
  • Review and validate:
    • Project setup in the STAR system
    • Alignment between project structure and contractual agreements
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness before finalizing billing setups.

Billing Execution & Support

  • Own a portfolio of Client Managers, ensuring accurate, timely billing for all service agreements.
  • Execute or support hourly billing, including reporting and collaboration with Client Managers when billing is handled at the engagement level.
  • Manage revenue recognition, including:
    • Reviewing work-in-progress (WIP) balances
    • Identifying discrepancies or needed adjustments
    • Proposing additional billing for out-of-scope work
  • Proactively communicate with stakeholders to maintain billing accuracy and completeness.

Accounts Receivable Collaboration

  • Partner with Client Managers and administrative staff to monitor and manage aged receivables.
  • Update invoice statuses and maintain detailed notes in the STAR system.
  • Ensure internal alignment by communicating status updates and driving timely follow-ups.
