Job description

Accounting Manager – Property Management 

Heritage Management Corporation is seeking an experienced Account Manager for a full-time, permanent position in our Topeka office. This role oversees accounting functions for several multifamily housing communities located in Kansas and Missouri. For 48 years, Heritage Management Corporation has specialized in property management for housing communities, and we are looking for a detail-oriented accounting professional who can support accurate financial operations across our portfolio.

Responsibilities include:

  • Detailed monthly accounting of receipts and disbursements
  • Monitoring the purchase of all supplies
  • Servicing loans and other financing
  • Payroll processing
  • Oversight of billing, expenses, deposits, and related accounting activity
  • Monitoring bank accounts and related transactions
  • Preparation of financial reporting and annual budgets
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Required experience includes:

  • Minimum of 5 years of current accounting experience
  • Proficient in accounting software applications
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
