What to Expect Working in the Senior Accounting Clerk Position
The Senior Accounting Clerk is responsible for assisting with monthly account reconciliations and accounts receivable duties. In this role, you will work closely with the Staff Accountants, Accounts Receivable Clerks, Cash Management, and Accounts Payable Clerks to support the daily operations of the Finance Department.
Responsibilities
• Prepares assigned reconciliations and other supporting documents.
• Prepares necessary close entries.
• Provides backup for data entry (invoice creation, credits and rebills, and cash application) in Accounts Receivable.
• Assists in bank reconciliation and cash management.
• Assists in cash forecasting.
• Assists in loan document preparation.
• May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• 2 years of experience in Accounting.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) with intermediate to advance skills in Excel.
• Experience with an accounting software
• Experience with cash forecasting.
• Experience with bank regulations.
• Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in a multi-company environment.
• Associate degree (AA) in Accounting.
