Job description

Whether you're majoring in graphic design, visual communications, digital media, or a related field, you can be successful in this internship. We don't expect you to know everything on day one. We're looking for creative thinkers with transferable skills, a strong eye for design, and a willingness to learn. We'll provide the training, mentorship, and hands-on experience needed to help you grow your design career.

About The Role:

As a Graphic Design Intern, you'll be part of a collaborative creative team that brings ideas to life across digital, print, and environmental design. You'll gain real-world experience by contributing to projects that support both our employees and the Veterans we serve. From brainstorming concepts to preparing final deliverables, you'll work alongside experienced designers and marketers while building your portfolio and sharpening your creative skills. You'll receive mentorship, constructive feedback, and opportunities to learn industry best practices, all while making meaningful contributions to real campaigns and company initiatives.

Here's a snapshot of what you'd be doing:

  • Designing visual assets for a variety of projects, including digital marketing, print materials, event support, presentations, and internal communications.

  • Brainstorming creative concepts and collaborating with designers and project owners to develop engaging visual solutions.

  • Assisting with the production and organization of design files, ensuring projects are prepared for digital and print delivery.

  • Working alongside designers, project owners, and vendors to help bring creative ideas from concept through completion.

  • Communicating with stakeholders to understand project goals, incorporate feedback, and help keep projects on schedule.

  • Learning new design techniques, software, and creative processes while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

  • Pitching in wherever needed (excluding licensed tasks) to help foster a supportive and collaborative team culture.

About You:

  • You're passionate about graphic design and excited to continue growing your creative skills.

  • You have a strong attention to detail and take pride in producing polished, high-quality work.

  • You enjoy working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment while also being comfortable taking ownership of individual projects.

  • You're open to feedback and see it as an opportunity to improve your craft.

  • You communicate clearly and enjoy building positive working relationships with co-workers and stakeholders.

  • You're organized, able to manage multiple projects, and can balance deadlines effectively.

  • You're familiar with Adobe Creative Cloud and enjoy exploring new creative tools and techniques.

  • You have a portfolio that showcases your creativity, design thinking, and technical abilities through classwork, personal projects, freelance work, or previous internships.
