Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in product design or UX, with a focus on hybrid visual and motion design.
  • Experience with 3D design tools or motion graphics software.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 12 years of experience in product design or UX, specializing in high-fidelity motion and visual storytelling.
  • Proficiency in Rive, After Effects, Spline, or Cinema 4D to build immersive 3D prototypes and virtual concepts.
  • Experience using Generative AI for creative concepting and asset generation to expand design workflows.

As a Staff UX Designer, you will be a hybrid motion and visual expert who will design new platform experiences. You will bridge aesthetics and movement, prototyping and crafting narratives for 3D and AI products. You will solve ambiguous problems, pioneer generative AI workflows, and establish cohesive motion guidelines across environments.

Responsibilities
  • Define and galvanize the long-term product and user experience strategy for the Beam platform, driving alignment among cross-functional leaders.
  • Pioneer the cinematic future of the platform by creating concept reels and high-fidelity motion mockups as a hybrid motion and visual specialist.
  • Author a premium motion language and establish standards for visual and motion systems within 3D environments to ensure a cohesive identity.
  • Partner with User Research to evaluate the emotional resonance and usability of premium motion and visual patterns through high-fidelity simulations.
  • Resolve highly ambiguous spatial design challenges, including geospatial design and depth-based visual hierarchy, employing rapid high-fidelity visualization to scale features.
