  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development.
  • 7 years of experience with front-end frameworks, full-stack development, or API development.
  • 5 years of experience with design and architecture; and testing/launching software products.
Preferred qualifications:
  • 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
  • Experience in GenAI development.

In this role, you will guide talented engineering teams to drive the development of innovative web and mobile features, and lead the integration of GenAI capabilities into the Drive experience, transforming how users organize, create and consume their content.

From pre-computed summaries for email threads, summaries for meetings, and videos created from a document using lifelike AI avatars, our AI opportunity is huge. You will work with model builders (Google DeepMind), work with exceptional leaders, and have the ability to impact billions of users across the world.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $262000 - $364000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits

  • Define and drive the technical vision and strategy for new product features and user experiences on the Google Drive frontend across web and mobile platforms.
  • Lead the design and architecture of user-facing features. Set technical standards, review feature designs, and ensure the high quality and rapid delivery of the team's product output.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship, fostering a culture of technical excellence and fast-paced innovation.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and cross-functional teams to shape the product roadmap and translate user needs into technical solutions.
