SUSTAINABILITY ASSURANCE & CONSULTING I NTERN

As an intern with the Sustainability Consulting & Assurance group, you will be embarking on an opportunity to engage in and support innovative ESG solutions for a growing client base. You will work with a team to establish ESG data and content collection, engage in validation processes for various stakeholder groups, and generate ESG metrics, reporting, and other communications. This is an emerging, high-growth business initiative with high visibility. We are seeking a high achiever who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and enjoys collaboration and building solutions with other groups to be trusted advisors to our clients in an evolving market space.

How you will contribute:

  • Coordinating with clients, co-workers, and partners for environmental, social, and governance (ESG) implementation assurance and reporting
  • Collaborating in establishing data-driven ESG goals, milestones, and metrics as applicable for the client's organization
  • Performing sustainability-related assurance procedures such as evaluating and testing processes and related controls
  • Supporting corporate reporting in line with recognized ESG standards and frameworks such as GHG Protocol, TCFD, GRI, SASB, CDP
  • Participating in client meetings and assisting in the preparation of reports
  • Delivering Forvis Mazars’ commitment to unmatched client experience through timely and responsive communication with internal and external clients.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a ccounting or a related business discipline with a focus on sustainability, climate and ESG preferred
  • Must be working toward CPA licensure eligibility
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Offices suite
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
  • Maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher (in major and overall)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with external financial or sustainability assurance

The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Total compensation and benefits consist of salary, group health plan benefits, 401(K), profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave.
