Job description

Job Title: Electrical Engineering Intern

Job Code: 38417

Job Location: Rochester, NY

Job Description:ย In this role, you will learn to design and develop electrical systems for the integration of electrical/electronic equipment on military/commercialย aircraftย and ground stations. Electrical Engineersย have the opportunity toย work on a wide variety of tasks andย aircraftย systems onย numerousย aircraftย platforms.ย 

Essential Functions:ย 

  • Create system wiring diagrams, circuit breaker panels, controlย panelsย and other items using CAD (Computer Aided Design)ย toolย 

  • Research and preparation of engineering drawings, and coordination of design activities with Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production to ensure that designs meet requirements at minimum costย 

  • Designs can include development of Avionics Systems, RF, LAN, Data Processing, Power Distribution Systems, Electrical Loads analysis, Load shedding scheme to name a few, along with the opportunity to support testing and integration of systems on theย aircraftย 

Qualifications:ย 

  • Must be pursuingย aย Bachelor'sย degree, aย Master'sย degree or a PhDย in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Science degree or related technical degree at an accredited university.ย 

Preferred Additional Skills:ย 

  • Good computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Officeย 

  • Co-Op/Intern orย previousย entry-level experience in electrical engineeringย 

  • Skills/Knowledge of with CAD and PLM software, including NX and Teamcenterย

PAY TRANSPARENCY:In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York state is $22 per hour - $40.50 per hour. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
