Description

JOB SUMMARY:
Monitors and maintains a "hospital-clean" state of the common dining areas for the processing plant food courts, keeping tables and floors clean through the day while providing courteous assistance to diners. May also assist with stocking condiments/utensils, setup/shutdown of the dining area and kitchen, and food preparation.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  1. Maintain a "hospital-clean" condition of the common dining areas (surfaces and floors).
  1. Provide and ensure prompt and courteous service to employees and guests, ensuring a clean and pleasant dining experience.
  1. Setup/shutdown and restock of common dining and kitchen areas.
  1. Follow food court procedures to ensure health code compliance in all operations of the department, such as sanitation, temperatures, and expiration dates.
  1. Use touch-screen POS (point-of-sale) system to enter sales items.
  1. Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  1. Knowledge of Food Safety requirements.
  1. Ability to operate cleaning equipment and lift up to 50lbs.
  1. Ability to operate a touchscreen terminal for conducting employee deduction sales.
  1. Knowledge and/or ability to learn to operate the following equipment: pizza oven, steam table, dough press, POS terminal, scale, phone, wheeled rack, trash compactor, dishwasher, fire extinguisher, computer, printer, fax, copier, compactor/baler.
  1. Skill in communicating in a courteous and professional manner, both verbally and in writing.
  1. Ability to work in a team environment.
  1. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends as needed.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED preferred. Minimum of one year experience in food service or equivalent preferred.
