Description:

Gateway Rehab Center (GRC) is searching for a passionate, forward-thinking Telehealth Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to become a key part of our growing telehealth services team.  The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing mental health support through telehealth services. You will be responsible for conducting psych evaluations, performing medication management, and evaluating both new and returning patients.

 Responsibilities

  • Conduct psych evaluations for new and returning patients.
  • Perform medication management in accordance with established protocols.
  • Evaluate new patients to assess their mental health needs and develop appropriate care plans.
  • Conduct thorough psych assessments on returning patients to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Follow ups are scheduled during appointment by Provider.
  • Charting and complete services.
  • Writes prescriptions. 
  • Works with digital coordinator to coordinate staffing levels. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong understanding of psychiatric nursing principles and practices.
  • Proficient in conducting psych evaluations and developing comprehensive care plans.
  • Knowledge of psychotropic medications and their appropriate administration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective telehealth interactions.
  • Ability to adapt to various telehealth platforms and technologies.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
  • Ability to maintain records in a timely fashion.
  • Ability to coordinate care with the team that may include therapists, nurses, CRS workers, administration, office staff when necessary
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). 
  • Current and valid nursing license in Pennsylvania required.  
  •      *Applicants who do not have current licensing in Pennsylvania will be required to provide proof of application
  • Certification in psychiatric nursing is required.   
  • Additional certifications in telehealth or related fields are a plus.

Additional Requirements

  • Pass a PA Criminal Background Check.
  • Obtain Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprinting clearances.
  • Pass Drug Screen
  • 2 Step TB test
