Job description

Position Summary: The Marketing and Communications Intern’s primary responsibility will be to support all functions of Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center’s Marketing and Communications including marketing, advertising, public relations and internal communications. This internship is designed to be both educational and practical. In this position the intern will learn howto take the skills they may have acquired in school related to his or her particular areas of interest and apply them in professional setting. They will gain a better understanding of the role that the Marketing and Communications team play for PVHMC and for the Community. The Marketing and Communications team is a three-member team, supported by marketing and public relations consultants. This internship is intended to be temporary and/or as needed basis.

Required Qualifications: Current enrollment as a Junior or Senior in an undergraduate degree program with an interest to work in the general communications, marketing or public relations fields. High degree of responsibility and accountability with proficient written and verbal communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Canva (graphic design).

Preferred Qualifications: Video production & editing capabilities. Bilingual (Spanish).

Salary range: $23.00/hour. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
