ArcLight formed SkyVest with the vision of building a leading, multiโ€‘billionโ€‘dollar platform for its renewable investments, similar to its Alpha Generation platform for thermal generation assets. Since its launch in July 2024, SkyVest has grown its asset portfolio to nearly 1 GW, comprised of wind and solar assets in PJM, ERCOT, CAISO and MISO.

About ArcLight Capital Partners

ArcLight is a leading private equity firm focused on energy and infrastructure, founded in 2001. With deep sector expertise, ArcLight has invested in more than 65 gigawatts of power generation and over 47,000 miles of transmission and distribution infrastructure, representing approximately $80 billion in total enterprise value. The firm is known for its operationally driven investment approach and maintains a large internal team alongside a network of over 2,000 asset management professionals. ArcLight has a strong track record in renewables and energy transition assets, including solar, battery storage, hydroelectric, and natural gas infrastructure.

About This Position

SkyVest is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure and Cybersecurity leader to design, build, secure, and manage its enterprise technology environment. This role owns the endโ€‘toโ€‘end architecture, implementation, and continuous improvement of Corporate IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud platforms, networking, and the Operational Technology (OT) environments supporting SkyVestโ€™s renewable energy assets.

The ideal candidate has built enterprise infrastructure in cloudโ€‘first environments, with strength in enterprise networking, cybersecurity operations, and cloud infrastructure, plus working familiarity with industrial control systems (ICS/SCADA). This is a handsโ€‘on role spanning strategy, architecture, implementation, operations, and vendor management.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Infrastructure & Cloud

  • Architect, build, and maintain secure, highly available enterprise IT infrastructure and hybrid cloud environments (Azure, AWS), including cloud governance, cost optimization, and Infrastructure as Code standards.
  • Manage identity and directory services (Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS, DHCP, PKI) and enterprise authentication.
  • Design enterprise backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
  • Establish standards for servers, storage, virtualization, and endpoint management.
  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, SDโ€‘WAN, VPN, and wireless connectivity across headquarters, remote offices, substations, and generation sites.
  • Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers; implement network segmentation and Zero Trust secure remote access for a distributed workforce.
  • Oversee network monitoring, capacity planning, and documentation.

Cybersecurity

  • Own the enterprise cybersecurity program end to end, including identity (IAM, PAM, MFA), endpoint (EDR), detection and response (SIEM, SOAR, incident response), email/web/DNS security, DLP, and vulnerability management.
  • Design enterprise security architecture and the Zero Trust roadmap, and establish security policies and standards.
  • Lead risk assessments, security audits, penetration testing, and remediation, including thirdโ€‘party assessments; build cyber resilience and incident recovery capabilities.
  • Maintain alignment with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Controls, and ISO 27001.

Operational Technology (OT) Infrastructure & Security

  • Serve as the IT partner for renewable energy OT environments, supporting SCADA, ICADA, or PLC communications and industrial networking infrastructure.
  • Secure OT networks through segmentation, industrial firewalls, and secure OTโ€‘toโ€‘IT connectivity, including remote access for field technicians and vendors.
  • Develop disaster recovery and resiliency plans for OT systems.

Monitoring, Operations & Leadership

  • Build monitoring, logging, and observability across infrastructure, applications, cloud, networking, and OT, with proactive alerting and dashboards to maintain uptime and reliability.
  • Establish operational procedures, documentation, and change management.
  • Develop the enterprise infrastructure and cybersecurity roadmap; lead infrastructure modernization initiatives.
  • Manage vendors, managed service providers, and IT capital/operational budgets.
  • Mentor technical staff and support M&A and integration activities.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in enterprise infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity, including 3+ years handsโ€‘on with OT, SCADA, or ICADA environments.
  • Handsโ€‘on experience designing and building cloud infrastructure in Azure or AWS.
  • Strong expertise in enterprise networking (routing, switching, firewalls, VPN) and core security technologies (IAM/MFA, EDR, SIEM, vulnerability management).
  • Experience with Microsoft enterprise technologies: Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Intune, and Defender.
  • Working knowledge of Zero Trust principles, disaster recovery/business continuity, and scripting/automation (PowerShell, Python, or Bash).
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in renewable energy, utilities, power generation, or critical infrastructure, including solar, wind, BESS, or distributed energy resources.
  • Experience supporting substations, energy management systems (EMS), or SCADA communications.
