Job description

As an Engineering Intern you will partner with the Engineering, Quality and Operations teams on various projects to support the needs of the business. You will work in three 3-month rotations between departments to gain valuable experience to be considered for future fulltime employment.

What will you do?
  • Work collaboratively with the Process Engineers to work on projects/assignments related to the metallurgical, process or dimensional engineering aspects of our castings
  • Work with Engineering and shop floor employees to observe and document various steps in the manufacturing process
  • Analyze data related to manufacturing defects, downtime and variance in the process
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, looking at opportunities to remove waste from the manufacturing process
  • Other various assignments to meets the needs of customers & CPP

What do we have to offer?
  • $27 per hour
  • Full-time hours
  • Gain experience within operations. product, process and quality departments

What will make you a successful candidate?
  • Anticipated graduation date of 12/26 or 6/27
  • Candidates seeking a BS/MS degree in Material Science, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering are preferred.  
  • Computer skills to be proficient in Microsoft Excel/Word/Outlook. 
  • Desire to learn and thrive in an independent work environment
  • Excellent written, verbal, & presentation communications skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
