Job description

Join a creative, collaborative team of landscape architects and civil engineers in Hunt Valley, Maryland, creating exciting and sustainable places for people to live, work and play. Site Resources is an award-winning multidisciplinary firm with a diverse portfolio including higher education, parks and recreation, K–12 schools, healthcare, and other public and private projects.

We are currently interviewing candidates for the following positions

CIVIL ENGINEERING INTERN RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Be curious, ask questions, seek feedback, and apply what you learn
  • Collaborate with civil engineers, landscape architects, and designers on a variety of site development projects
  • Learn about and participate in all aspects of project team coordination
  • Develop site engineering skills, including grading, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, and utility systems in accordance with Maryland regulations
  • Contribute to the production of land development drawings, details, specifications, and permit applications
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Currently enrolled in a college or university in pursuit of bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or a related field
  • Experience with AutoCAD; exposure to AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Desire to learn about Maryland stormwater management and erosion and sediment control design, permitting, and land development regulations
  • Paid internship position at $21.00 per hour

CIVIL / SITE DESIGNER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support projects from concept through construction while managing schedules, budgets, and quality
  • Prepare site/civil construction documents, specifications, and permit applications
  • Design grading, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, and utility systems in accordance with Maryland regulations
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or a related field
  • 3 to 5 years of experience with a civil engineering or multidisciplinary design firm preferred
  • FE/EIT certification and/or active pursuit of professional licensure
  • Experience with Maryland stormwater management and erosion and sediment control design, permitting, and land development regulations
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Annual salary ranging from $65,000 to $85,000 with performance-based bonuses

  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to client relationships and business development
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience with a civil engineering or multidisciplinary design firm preferred
  • Professional licensure or active pursuit of licensure
  • Experience with Maryland stormwater management and erosion and sediment control design, permitting, and land development regulations
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills
  • Annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $110,000 with performance-based bonuses
