Job description

ML/AI Computer Science Intern

As a ClubLabs Intern, you will be a member of our digital acceleration team for Automobile Club of Southern California, also known as AAA- we are the proving ground for ideas that exceed our members' expectations. Here you will partner with our SME's and help us create, design and deliver digital solutions.


This internship will give you hands-on experience in your chosen area of specialty, whether it's Engineering, UX/UI, Product Management, Podcast Creation or QA - we have the roles that will give you the valuable industry experience you are looking for.


We are looking for an enthusiastic AI/ML Intern to join our dynamic team and contribute to innovative machine learning and artificial intelligence projects. As an intern, you will work closely with experienced AI/ML engineers to build and deploy machine learning models, analyze data, and help improve existing systems. You will gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge AI technologies and have the opportunity to learn from a team of experts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development, training, and testing of machine learning models.

  • Clean and preprocess large datasets to be used for AI and ML applications.

  • Implement algorithms and methodologies for data analysis, classification, regression, clustering, etc.

  • Collaborate with the AI/ML team to integrate models into production systems.

  • Research and explore state-of-the-art AI/ML techniques and contribute ideas for improving our processes.

  • Perform data visualization and reporting of findings to communicate results to both technical and non-technical teams.

  • Document code, processes, and results in an organized manner for future reference.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical analysis, and data science concepts.

  • Experience with Python

  • Familiarity with machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, or similar tools.

  • Familiarity with vector databases, RAG

  • Experience with data manipulation and analysis using pandas, NumPy, and other data science tools.

  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).

  • Knowledge of Fine Tuning LLMs, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), or Computer Vision is a plus.

The pay rate for this position is $30/hour.
