Job description

Join Evernorth Health Services' Enterprise Data Science team and help solve healthcare's most complex challenges. As a Data Science Advisor, you will apply advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI to deliver insights that improve clinical outcomes, enhance the member experience, and drive business growth. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact initiatives, partner with senior leaders, and shape the future of data-driven healthcare solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of advanced data science solutions that align to business and clinical priorities.

  • Develop and deploy predictive models, machine learning solutions, and AI capabilities to drive measurable outcomes.

  • Translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations for business and technical stakeholders.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams (IT, Clinical, Operations) to deliver end-to-end analytics solutions.

  • Apply advanced analytical methods including segmentation, regression, and time-series analysis to solve business problems.

  • Create scalable data pipelines and leverage big data technologies to support analytics initiatives.

  • Present findings to senior leaders to influence strategy and decision-making.

  • Provide thought leadership and mentor others on data science best practices and emerging technologies.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in data science, advanced analytics, or a related field.

  • Strong programming skills in Python, R, SQL, or similar tools.

  • Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.

  • Experience developing predictive models using methods such as regression, decision trees, or neural networks.

  • Exposure to big data technologies such as Apache Spark and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).

  • Knowledge of healthcare data and systems (e.g., claims data, ICD-10) and ability to apply insights to real-world challenges.

  • Ability to communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Strong collaboration, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's or PhD in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or similar.

  • Experience with GenAI and LLM technologies such as GPT, RAG, or vector databases.

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau.


If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 107,700 - 179,500 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
