Job Description

Reports to: Inventory Analyst

Status: Part-Time (20 Hours/Week)

Compensation: Hourly

Position Overview The Accounting Intern is not a typical "office-only" internship. This position will help us maintain accuracy between our physical inventory and our financial records. It is a perfect fit for a student who enjoys a mix of office and hands-on in a production and distribution environment. This role requires a high degree of reliability, organizational skills, detail, and the ability to communicate effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cycle Counting: Perform regular physical inventory counts of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods to ensure system accuracy.
  • Accounting Support: Assist with filing and special projects as required.

  • Computer/Data Entry: Extract data from ERP to Excel. Proficient in data entry into Excel record counts and review inventory variances.

  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all plant safety protocols and food safety requirements at all times.

Qualifications 

  • Education: Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Industrial Management.
  • Technical: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfortable learning NetSuite required data downloads to Excel.

  • Attributes: Demonstrated ability to follow instructions, work well with others, and manage time effectively.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a non-climate controlled manufacturing environment that may be dusty.

Schedule 

  • 20 hours per week (between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM).
  • Flexible scheduling: Minimum 4 hours daily OR specific set days Mon-Fri; excludes holidays.
