Afognak Native Corporation is currently recruiting for the Summer Intern program for 2026. The Afognak Native Corporation Intern program provides Afognak shareholders currently enrolled in high school or college with work experience and an opportunity to explore career options. This is an eight-week intern position designed to expose a student to job functions here at Afognak Native Corporation.

  • Explore various career opportunities and industry fields within the Corporation and its subsidiaries.
  • Increase learning through real work assignments.
  • Understand the importance of ethics in the workplace.
  • Learn how to set and achieve work-based priorities.
  • Explore leadership styles by meeting with different corporate leaders.
  • Develop an understanding of what it means to be a Shareholder from an employee perspective and to grow businesses through a cultural basis.

Payrate: $18.00 to $22.00 Hourly
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Required Qualifications:
  • Must be a voting Afognak Native Corporation Shareholder
  • Must be either a current high school student or plan to graduate with a diploma from high school no more than 7 months prior to the internship start date; or be a current college student or registered for the fall semester prior to the internship start date.
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.

Physical Demands:
Work Environment:
  • Afognak Native Corporation Offices: Indoor, controlled climate with little to no exposure to hazardous material.
  • Danger Bay and Port Lions: Outdoor, uncontrolled climate with little to some exposure to hazardous materials.
