POSITION SUMMARY

As a Data Analytics Intern, you will report to the Data and Research Writer and work closely with the Technology and Data Solutions Team. Your primary focus will be generating food insecurity statistics and analytics, along with partner data analytics, to support U.S. Hunger's activities in addressing food insecurity. You will use Tableau to create reports based on multiple data views from SQL Server Enterprise databases, helping to transform raw data into actionable insights for key stakeholders.


Responsibilities

Tableau Report Development

  • Assist in developing and optimizing Tableau reports, dashboards, and visualizations, specifically focused on food insecurity statistics and partner data analytics.
  • Work with internal teams to gather report requirements and ensure visualizations meet the analytical needs of U.S. Hunger's initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot and improve existing reports for performance, accuracy, and clarity.

Food Insecurity and Partner Data Analysis

  • Collaborate with the Client Experience Manager and Data & Research Writer to generate meaningful insights on food insecurity trends and the impact of U.S. Hunger's programs.
  • Support the creation of food insecurity statistics and partner data analytics to guide decision-making.
  • Conduct research to identify trends and produce data-driven recommendations.

SQL Querying and Data Research

  • Write SQL queries, stored procedures, and views to extract and analyze data from SQL Server Enterprise databases.
  • Assist in optimizing queries for performance and efficiency, ensuring timely and accurate data availability for reporting.
  • Conduct exploratory data research to identify trends and interpret the provided datasets for further insight
