Job description

Commodity Manager

Interested in getting in at the ground floor of a disruptive company solving a critical multi-billion-dollar challenge?

Accelsius is developing revolutionary two-phase, direct-to-chip liquid cooling technology purpose-built for high-performance computing environments โ€” including hyperscale data centers, 5G edge deployments, and embedded applications such as electric vehicles. As demand for AI and high-density compute accelerates, thermal management is becoming mission-critical. Accelsius is redefining whatโ€™s possible.

We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Commodity Manager to help build and scale our procurement function in advance of rapid growth. Reporting to the Senior Procurement Leader, this role will play a foundational part in establishing sourcing strategy, supplier partnerships, and operational procurement excellence.

This is a high-impact opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, scaling environment and wants to help architect procurement from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned commodity categories aligned to business growth plans and cost targets
  • Identify, evaluate, qualify, and onboard suppliers to support NPI and production ramp
  • Lead RFQs/RFPs, supplier negotiations, and contracting to optimize total cost of ownership
  • Build long-term supplier relationship management (SRM) practices and performance scorecards
  • Drive supplier consolidation, risk mitigation, and dual-sourcing strategies where appropriate
  • Ensure continuity of supply for production and NPI builds through proactive planning and risk management
  • Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Program Management to support product launches and scaling initiatives
  • Lead cost reduction initiatives, value engineering efforts, and should-cost analysis
  • Monitor commodity market trends, capacity constraints, and geopolitical risks impacting supply
  • Establish procurement processes, policies, and controls to support scalable growth
  • Support ERP (NetSuite) procurement workflows and system optimization
  • Develop reporting, KPI dashboards, and spend analytics to drive data-informed decision-making
  • Contribute to procurement organizational design and capability building as the company scales

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in production procurement or commodity management
  • Experience supporting hardware manufacturing environments (electronics, mechanical assemblies, thermal systems, or similar preferred)
  • Demonstrated success negotiating supplier agreements and driving cost reduction
  • Strong analytical capabilities and experience with spend analysis and forecasting
  • Experience in ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
  • Supply chain planning experience is a plus
  • Startup or high-growth environment experience is a plus

Competencies & Leadership Attributes

  • Strategic thinker with strong execution discipline
  • Comfortable building structure in ambiguous environments
  • Strong influencing and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Data-driven decision maker
  • Curious, hands-on, and solutions-oriented
  • High level of professionalism and accountability
  • Ability to balance tactical detail with big-picture strategy

Why Join Accelsius?

  • Opportunity to shape procurement strategy at a pivotal growth stage
  • Exposure to breakthrough cooling technology addressing AI-driven infrastructure demands
  • High-visibility role with meaningful business impact
  • Collaborative, innovative culture with significant room for growth

The position is based in Austin, Texas.

This position includes the responsibilities outlined above and may also encompass additional duties as assigned to meet business and compliance needs.
