Position Summary

The Global Commodity Manager – Hot Gas Path & Combustion leads the sourcing strategy for critical turbine components, including castings, combustion components, post-cast machining, and fuel nozzles.

This role is accountable for delivering excellence across Quality, Delivery, and Cost, enabled through the development and management of a global supplier network—building new partnerships while strengthening existing ones—ensuring successful NPI execution and a resilient, high-performing supply base. The role embodies PROENERGY’s commitment to "Do the Right Thing" by driving integrity, accountability, and trust across all supplier engagements.

Position Responsibilities
  • Build, scale, and maintain a global network of strategic suppliers.
  • Serve as the executive interface with key supplier partners, driving alignment to PROENERGY priorities.
  • Establish strong partnerships that enable performance across Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
  • Lead supplier governance, segmentation, and performance reviews.
  • Identify and onboard new suppliers to support growth, NPI, and risk mitigation
Quality
  • Drive a zero-defect mindset across suppliers supporting critical turbine components.
  • Partner closely with SDQE, who lead supplier qualification, validation, and QMS execution.
  • Enable SDQE performance by leveraging strong supplier relationships to ensure alignment, responsiveness, and accountability.
  • Serve as the escalation point for supplier quality issues, driving rapid resolution through influence and commercial leverage.
  • Support NPI readiness by ensuring supplier engagement and commitment to robust APQP/PPAP/FAI execution.
Delivery & Supply Assurance
  • Ensure on-time delivery and supply continuity
  • Partner with Commodity Buyers, who manage daily execution.
  • Enable Buyer success by driving supplier capacity alignment and responsiveness.
  • Serve as the escalation point for delivery risks, resolving disruptions quickly while upholding commitments to customers.
  • Mitigate risks related to fabrication complexity, machining lead times, large structure handling constraints, and single-source dependencies.
  • Drive and support NPI ramp-up to meet business objectives.
Cost & Commercial Management
  • Deliver cost savings through strategic sourcing and supplier productivity.
  • Lead negotiations, contracts, and long-term agreements with integrity and transparency.
  • Optimize total cost of ownership while protecting quality and delivery.
  • Leverage supplier partnerships to drive cost competitiveness and value engineering.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
  • 7+ years in global sourcing or commodity management
  • Strong experience in fabricated structures, machining, mechanical systems, or bearings
  • Deep technical understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and supply chain constraints for structural components
  • Proven leadership in supplier performance, NPI, and strategic negotiations
  • Must be fluent in English, with strong speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension skills
  • US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
  • Candidate must also pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background check and pre-employment drug screen.
