Katz was the first manager to work with a comedy artist to use social media to accelerate their career, with Dane Cook. At the height of his popularity, Cook had the ability to press a button on his computer and sell out 2 shows in one night at the Boston Garden and 2 shows in one night at Madison Square Garden for a total of 75,000 tickets sold in less than a week - which had never been done before. Editing Intern at Barry Katz Entertainment
We are looking for hardworking and intuitive audio/video editors who always overdelivers! If you are looking for an in-road to kickstart your career in the entertainment business, this position is a fantastic place to start. Not only will you have time to work one-on-one with CEO Barry Katz, but you will have a front row seat to what's going on in the entertainment industry. This is an unpaid internship.
This internship will have you working on various projects within our company, including proof of concepts, sizzle or acting reels, stand-up comedy sets, etc. You'll also have the opportunity to work with a variety of comedy artists as they grow their online followings, creating vertical videos for social media. Additionally, if desired, you'll be able to have a hand in other industry duties and projects that the company is involved in, including Barry Katz's podcast, Industry Standard.
