  • Validate circuit performance with SPICE and other simulation tools prior to board spins
  • Lead multidisciplinary reviews to resolve electro-mechanical issues (grounding, interference, cable harnessing)
  • Lead bring-up of new boards, including power and timing validation
  • Analyze signal timing and waveforms using oscilloscopes, network analyzers and other lab instruments
  • Coordinate with firmware and FPGA engineers on pin assignments, memory selection, and interface design
  • Review initial component placement and routing with PCB layout engineers
  • Support regulatory testing and documentation for EMC, electrical safety, and emissions standards
  • Work with manufacturing to analyze electrical issues arising in assembly and customer returns
Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role
  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a similar discipline
  • At least 5 years of experience with Altium or a comparable PCB design tool
  • Experience with digital and mixed-signal circuit design
  • Proficiency using oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and similar lab instruments
  • Experience with revision-control systems such as Git, BitBucket, or Allspice
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
Here's What Else Might Help You Out
  • Familiarity with soldering, board inspection and rework
  • Familiarity with firmware or scripting tools such as Python
