The Role: What You'll Do

As a Civil Engineer Intern, you will be an integral part of our design team, supporting both public and private sector projects that shape the Southwest Virginia landscape. You will:

  • Design & Draft: Support the development of conceptual site layouts and construction drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Solve Problems: Assist with grading design, earthwork analyses, and complex stormwater management systems.
  • Navigate Regulations: Research municipal zoning and development ordinances to ensure project compliance.
  • Get in the Field: Participate in site visits and field investigations to see how plans translate to reality.
  • Build the Foundation: Help prepare engineering reports, technical specifications, and project proposals.
