What We Are Looking For:
As a Network Engineer, you will support and optimize the enterprise network infrastructure by integrating traditional networking skills with modern cloud and SaaS solutions. You will also collaborate with vendors to address issues with critical infrastructure, such as UPS systems, generators, and HVAC equipment, ensuring the organization's operational needs are met.
What You'll Do:
  • Analyze network performance and resolve issues related to LAN/WAN, routing, switching.
  • Compose automated solutions for network monitoring and configuration using scripting and API's (Python, Bash, Rest, NETCONF, etc.).
  • Develop and deploy SaaS applications, including Cisco DNA, ISE, and Firepower Management Center.
  • Drive troubleshooting efforts for hybrid environments integrating AWS, Azure, and on-premises networks.
  • Establish reliable connections with ISPs to resolve WAN-related issues.
  • Evaluate and implement wireless network improvements for enhanced connectivity.
  • Integrate software-defined networking (SDN) tools to support scalable operations.
  • Monitor and escalate issues with critical infrastructure (UPS, HVAC, generators), coordinating repairs with vendors.
  • Prepare detailed documentation for network configurations, incident resolutions, and procedures.
  • Solve complex technical issues by collaborating across teams and using advanced diagnostic tools.
  • Recognize complexity and advocate aggressively to contain or eliminate it.
  • Detect and initiate root cause analysis of problems and identifies patterns.
  • Consistently demonstrates solid judgment in technical concerns.
  • Research and evaluate new products and recommend innovative solutions in order to improve existing systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align network operations with business objectives and application requirements.
  • Mentor junior team members by providing training on new tools, technologies, and best practices.
  • Conduct regular audits of network configurations to ensure compliance with security standards and company policies.
  • Assist in developing disaster recovery plans and participate in routine testing to ensure business continuity.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and recommend updates to infrastructure to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to document project requirements and milestones for network upgrades.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing accurate and comprehensive documentation of the network environment.
  • Participate in proof-of-concept testing for new technologies to assess their viability for deployment in the existing infrastructure.

What You Need:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience:
    • 3+ years in network engineering, focusing on traditional and cloud-integrated environments.
  • Knowledge:
    • Proficiency in routing protocols, network troubleshooting, and wireless deployments.
    • Experience with AWS, Azure, and scripting.
    • Familiarity with vendor management.

Bonus Points:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field. Advanced coursework or certifications in cloud computing or network security.
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience in IT, with exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and SaaS tools.
