Description
The Chief Revenue Officer is responsible for delivering revenue growth for Brandability. The CRO owns the company's revenue strategy and sales execution, ensuring that revenue goals are translated into clear plans, measurable activity, strong leadership, and consistent results.
Requirements
Primary Responsibilities
Revenue Strategy and Performance
  • Develop and execute the company's annual and long-term revenue growth strategy.
  • Own company revenue performance, including revenue, gross profit, new business, and account growth.
  • Translate company goals into clear targets by team and account.
  • Maintain an accurate revenue forecast and proactively address performance gaps, risks, and opportunities.

Sales Leadership and Accountability
  • Lead, develop, and hold accountable all sales leaders and sales personnel.
  • Establish clear expectations, scorecards, sales processes, meeting rhythms, and performance standards.
  • Build a high-performing sales culture characterized by preparation, urgency, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate talent and ensure the company has the leadership, structure, and capabilities required to achieve its growth goals.

New Business Development
  • Build and manage a repeatable new business development strategy focused on Brandability's ideal customer profile and priority markets.
  • Ensure the sales organization maintains a healthy, qualified pipeline sufficient to achieve growth targets.
  • Improve prospecting, opportunity qualification, proposal strategy, sales conversion, and speed through the sales cycle.
  • Personally support or lead the company's most strategically important growth opportunities.

Strategic Account Growth and Retention
  • Establish a disciplined approach for growing and protecting Brandability's most important accounts.
  • Ensure key accounts have documented growth plans, executive relationships, proactive ideas, and measurable expansion opportunities.
  • Increase the number of customers utilizing multiple Brandability capabilities, including branded merchandise, ecommerce stores, creative services, and digital marketing.
  • Identify revenue concentration, retention, and customer relationship risks before they materially affect the business.

Cross-Functional Revenue Leadership
  • Partner closely with the CEO to establish growth priorities and allocate resources toward the strongest opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Creative Officer to align marketing, creative strategy, positioning, and sales enablement with revenue priorities.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Operating Officer to ensure revenue commitments can be delivered profitably and with an excellent customer experience.
  • Collaborate with Finance to maintain accurate forecasting, pricing discipline, margin performance, and visibility into revenue economics.

Measures of Success
The CRO's success will be measured primarily by:
  • Total revenue and gross profit growth
  • Growth and retention of strategic accounts
  • Sales team productivity and goal attainment
  • Polished, professional sales process utilized by all sales teams
  • Expansion of customers across multiple Brandability services
  • Development of a scalable, repeatable revenue engine
