Great work-life balance.
Department is an inpatient/outpatient that closes at 1600. Everyday has a hard stop of OP flow; no shift-to-shift report needed.
Position Details & Hours:
Seeking RN with strong cardiac background.
1.0 FTE (80 hours). 0730-1600, Monday - Friday. Nurse is assigned to 3-4 weekday call shifts per month. Weekday/end call shift ends at 2100. Weekend shift requirements are usually 2 weekend shifts per month (self-scheduled) also offering exchange days for weekend shifts. Call shift amount varies depending on vacations/LOA/department needs.
  • Primary Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (8-hour shifts)
  • Weekend Rotation:
    • 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM
    • Typically 1-2 nurses scheduled to cover testing
  • Call Requirements:
    • Weeknight call: 3:30 PM - 9:00 PM
    • Weekend call 0730-2100
    • Holiday call 0730-2100

Registered Nurse (RN) - St Luke's Stress Lab
Where you will work
Milwaukee, WI, United States -
  • Provide nursing care for patients undergoing cardiac diagnostic procedures, including:
    • Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE) with conscious sedation
    • Cardiac stress testing
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures to ensure safety and optimal outcomes
  • Administer medications and manage sedation in accordance with protocols
  • Collaborate closely with cardiologists, NPs, and sonographers during procedures
  • Educate patients and families on procedures and follow-up care
  • Respond to emergent situations and provide critical care support as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all regulatory and safety standards

We're Looking For:
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association, ACLS, PALS
  • 2 years nursing experience; with strong cardic experience - comfortable with 12 lead EKG reading

  • Provide nursing care for patients undergoing cardiac diagnostic procedures, including:
    • Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE) with conscious sedation
    • Cardiac stress testing

  • As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
