Corbion's Preservation & Specialty Ingredients (PSI) business is a central pillar of our Bright 2030 strategy, with ambitious growth objectives across strategic market segments. As part of a shift toward a strongly market-driven organization, we are strengthening our global commercial leadership.
We are looking for a Global Business Director (GBD) to lead the global growth agenda for Culinary, Pet Food, Seafood and Confectionery. Reporting to the Senior Vice President PSI, you will be fully accountable for defining market strategy, leading a global team, and delivering sustainable, profitable growth across regions.
In this role, you are both business owner and people leader. You will lead and develop a global team of business development and product management professionals while working cross-functionally with Sales, Business Development, Product Management, Innovation & Solutions Development, Supply Chain, Finance, Regulatory and Marketing. You will be recognized internally as the business driver for your market segment(s), ensuring alignment, focus and execution across the organization.
This is a hybrid position, based out of our office in Gorinchem, The Netherlands or Lenexa, KS with the possibility to work remote up to two days per week.
Key responsibilities
  • Develop, communicate and execute global market segment strategies aligned with the PSI Business Area Strategy
  • Lead and develop a global market team, delivering results through people and cross-functional collaboration
  • Drive market action plans through regional teams and functional partners
  • Own delivery of revenue growth, margin performance, pipeline development and conversion
  • (Co-)develop and steer key account strategies together with Sales
  • Sponsor innovation initiatives and selected CAPEX projects, from market justification to execution
  • Translate market needs into clear priorities for innovation, investments and resource allocation
  • Monitor global market trends, customer needs and competitive developments
  • Actively contribute to the PSI Business Leadership Team

Your profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology or related field
  • MBA or Master's degree preferred
  • Minimum 15 years of senior commercial experience in food, ingredients or related industries
  • Experience in culinary, pet food, seafood and/or confectionery markets
  • Proven people leadership experience within global, matrix organizations
  • Strong commercial mindset with end-to-end ownership for growth and profitability
  • Hands-on, entrepreneurial leader with a clear bias for execution
  • You are able and willing to travel approximately 25% of the time
