Overview

Join the Youthcare team! We are looking to add a therapist intern to our clinical department.  

Youth Care of Utah is the perfect place to gain valuable experience while making a difference in the lives of adolescents. Youth Care is a residential treatment center for troubled youth located in Draper, Utah and owned by Acadia Healthcare, a national leader in the behavioral healthcare industry.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assist clinicians in developing and implementing treatment plans with goals that are measurable,attainable and ensure success based upon patient's clinical assessments and face-to-face interviews. Assist with regular patient reviews and analysis of patient's progress or setbacks and make adjustmentrecommendations to support successful transitions. Complete clinical documentation under the guidance of a licensed clinician. Advanced students may have the opportunity to work with patients doing assessments, crisisinterventions and create/run their own groups. Minimum time commitment is as required by the Intern/student to fulfill educational requirements. Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. Whenpatient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safetyis a top priority.OTHER FUNCTIONS: Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Working towards a Master's Degree in Social Work or related counseling field from an accreditedMaster's program. Currently eligible for supervision leading to LCSW, LPC or LCPC. CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered byfacility). First aid may be required based on state or facility.LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS: Licensure or certification for counseling, as required by the state in which the facility operates.
