Interns often work under supervision, gaining hands-on experience in CAD (computer-aided design) and learning industry standards for drafting and design. This role helps students and recent graduates develop practical skills needed for careers in engineering and product design.

What typical projects and responsibilities can an intern Autodesk Inventor Drafter expect during their internship?

As an Intern Autodesk Inventor Drafter, you can expect to work on projects that involve creating and modifying 3D models, assembling parts, and preparing detailed technical drawings for manufacturing or engineering teams. Interns often support senior drafters and engineers by updating existing designs, ensuring documentation accuracy, and assisting with design revisions based on feedback. You may also participate in team meetings to discuss project requirements, deadlines, and collaborate with other departments like engineering or quality assurance. This hands-on experience helps interns develop technical drafting skills and gain exposure to the product development cycle.
