Why This Internship
As an intern with Textron, you'll gain hands-on experience while exploring your interests and building new skills. You'll be supported and challenged to contribute in meaningful ways - working on real projects alongside experienced professionals to prepare for future success.
JOB SUMMARY:
Assist with developing, planning, organizing and conducting complex design assignments on Textron Aviation aircraft. Candidate will operate in one or more functional disciplines such as design, analysis, electrical, avionics, etc.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform duties in support of new product and sustaining designs
  • Coordinate with other Engineering and technical groups to develop, implement, monitor, and status assignments

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in:
  • Aerospace Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to work in a quick-paced environment where priorities change frequently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to clearly communicate technical details to others outside of specialty area
  • Creative thinker
  • Action oriented and seizes opportunities
  • Professional and diplomatic demeanor

Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S. for Textron Aviation at the time of making application, and visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including for F-1 students and J-1 exchange visitors who will need employment sponsorship.
Summer internships are 40 hours per week typically from late-May to early-August lasting 10 weeks.
Candidates must be able to work onsite for the entirety of the internship program unless approved otherwise by the hiring manager.
Textron Aviation Inc. must comply with U.S. export control laws. If a position requires access to information controlled under U.S. regulations applicant must be eligible to meet any requirements to access controlled information.
